The Haystead AquaLab (HAP-2026-001-AQL) is a 15,000-gallon aquatic research and training facility located at the Haystead Ranch Project. Originally developed as a neutral-buoyancy and environmental monitoring platform, the AquaLab serves as a controlled aquatic environment for scientific observation, equipment testing, diver training, robotics development, and water-quality research. The facility allows researchers to conduct repeatable experiments under known conditions while providing a safe and accessible location for the evaluation of underwater technologies and procedures.

Today, the AquaLab supports a wide range of activities including water chemistry monitoring, underwater photography and videography, diver skills development, aquatic equipment testing.
