This weekend the Haystead team will construct and activate the Biodome Worm Tower Breeding System, a key component of the ranch’s regenerative soil program.

The vermiculture tower will allow us to cultivate healthy populations of composting worms that convert organic waste into nutrient-rich castings and living soil biology. These worms will support multiple Haystead projects including the Tower Garden, Bio Beds, Viking Garden, and biodome planting systems.

By establishing a stable worm breeding colony inside the biodome, we are building a self-sustaining soil ecosystem that improves plant health, accelerates composting, and strengthens the biological foundation of the entire ranch.
